Editorial policy

This policy sets out how Gardobot produces its content and keeps it independent of how the site is funded.

Independence

Our data, comparisons and rankings are decided on the evidence alone. No advertiser, retailer or manufacturer can buy a higher ranking, a better spec, or a place on a "best" list. Advertising and any affiliate relationships never influence editorial judgement.

Sourcing standards

Every specification, price and factual claim is sourced or marked "not specified". We prefer primary sources (manufacturers) and named independent test bodies, and we cite them on each page. We don't publish ratings we can't defend from sourced evidence. The full detail is in our methodology.

Accuracy and updates

Each mower record carries a data-completeness figure and a last-updated date. We re-check fast-moving data — robot-mower specs and prices especially — and date everything so you can judge how current it is.

Corrections

When we get something wrong we fix it promptly and, where it's material, note what changed. If you spot an error, please contact us with the detail and a source if you have one.

Advertising and affiliate links

We carry advertising and may use affiliate links. These are kept clearly separate from editorial content and never alter our data or recommendations — see the advertising & affiliate disclosure.

AI and authorship

Tools and automation help us assemble and check structured data at scale, but our sourcing rules apply identically regardless of how a draft is produced: nothing is published that isn't sourced or clearly marked as unspecified, and editorial responsibility rests with our named editorial team.
