Best wire-free robot mowers
Wire-free robots navigate by RTK-GPS, onboard AI vision, or a fusion of both — no boundary wire to bury. It's the fastest-growing corner of the category. These are the wire-free models in our catalogue, ranked by rated working area.
How we rank: wire-free navigation, then largest sourced working area first. These are transparent sorts on sourced specs — we don't publish editorial scores until they're defensibly sourced. Blanks mean "not specified", never a guess.

FAQ
Are wire-free robot mowers as reliable as wired ones?
Modern RTK and vision systems are very capable, but each has conditions: RTK wants a clear view of the sky, while vision wants daylight and a visible lawn edge. Fusion models combine them to cover more situations. Wired models remain the most weather- and canopy-proof.
Do wire-free mowers cost more?
Generally yes — you're paying for the positioning hardware instead of installation labour. The gap narrows as the technology matures.
