What is RTK-GPS on a robot mower?
RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) GPS is a high-precision satellite positioning method, accurate to a few centimetres rather than the metres of ordinary GPS. It lets the mower know exactly where it is on the lawn without a boundary wire.
Does RTK-GPS work under trees or near buildings?
RTK needs a reasonably clear view of the sky, so dense tree cover or tall buildings can weaken the signal. Fusion models add camera vision to keep working in those trickier spots.
