Husqvarna's wired 600 m² Automower: a 22 cm cut, 40% slopes inside the wire, a 60-minute run against a 60-minute recharge, and Bluetooth-only app control.

The Automower 305 is Husqvarna's wired robot for medium lawns, rated for 600 m² (±20%) on a boundary wire — the same area as the wire-free Aspire R6V we also list, and half again the 400 m² of the wired Aspire R4. Husqvarna publishes a 22 cm cut, a 20–50 mm height range, a 2.1 Ah battery quoted at 60 minutes of mowing against a 60-minute recharge, 9.4 kg, IPX5 sealing and 59 dB(A). Slope is given as two figures — 40% inside the working area and 15% at the boundary wire — and anti-theft protection is a PIN code with an alarm and lift and tilt sensors, without the GPS tracking of the larger NERA models.

The detail that shapes daily use is connectivity: the 305 pairs over Bluetooth through Automower Connect@Home, so the app works within Bluetooth range of the mower rather than from anywhere — the same limitation as Gardena's Bluetooth-only SILENO minimo. Read against the wire-free R6V at the same 600 m², the wired 305 is not the cheaper of the two on Husqvarna's UK pricing — £1,099 against £999 — so the case for it is the wire itself: positional certainty without depending on satellite or camera visibility, plus a 60-minute recharge against the R6V's quoted 200. Among the wired robots of its size here it sits at the top of the price range — the Worx Landroid M500 Plus covers 500 m² for €399 and the Bosch Indego S+ 500 for €799 — and what the Husqvarna price buys on paper is the 40% slope rating (against 35% and 27%) and the 22 cm cut.

The £1,099 is the UK page's standard ('was from') price with its campaign price excluded, and the €1,029 is the German page's single listed price. Battery voltage, warranty and guide-wire/multi-zone support are not stated and are left unspecified. This is a reading of the published specification, not a hands-on test.
